On Monday we finished reading the Gorgon’s Head and finished up our math diagnostic. Then, on Tuesday we presented our body diagrams. On Wednesday we cleaned up our classroom, and had a combined gym class. On the last day of school we are going to go to chapel, watch a movie and then have a pizza party. Happy last week of school! ~ Cori
What a fun-filled week to end the year with a bang! My wonderful little 6th graders have now grown to be not-so-little 7th graders. I am so proud of each and every one of them for the accomplishments and achievements they made this year. It was truly a blessing to get to know them all and to be their teacher. I will miss them dearly! To the Parents: Thank you so much for your support and encouragement this year. I appreciated the hard work on both ends to help your child grow. Thank you for your prayers, notes, and time spent helping your child. It was a wonderful yet crazy year! God's blessings on your summer!

On Monday we had the Geography bee with our representative being Jacob Moore. Sadly none of the 6th grade representatives got to the finales. The 1st place winner was Alex Riemenschneider and the 2nd place winner was Ryan Riemenschneider. We have spent a whole week working on our scratch projects making video games for English. We also started a Science project on one of the 11 body systems. And lastly on Thursday and Friday we had two different substitutes. ~ Megan
Here's our exciting last week of school:
Here is the link to our field trip photos that chaperones and teachers took! So fun! https://photos.app.goo.gl/4ZanvXKRBMyNztPy5 Our field trip was a success! We had a lot of fun being together and learning about the Veterans of the Vietnam War and the first Lutheran settlers in Missouri.
We started out at the Missouri's National Veterans Memorial where we got to see an exact replica of The Wall of Veterans' names that gave their lives in war. The first one is in Washington, D.C. and Missouri now has the first exact replica! We learned about fallen soldiers, Prisoners of War, and the importance of the wall. Next, we went to one of the first Lutheran churches in Altenburg. We learned about the immigrants coming to Missouri and saw a lot of cool stuff in the museum including old organs! We also were able to search through our ancestry and learn about our family trees. Then, we took our charter bus to the Saxon Memorial. After a great lunch break, we experienced what life was like when the first settlers came to Missouri. We churned butter, shelled corn, and wittled some wood. The kids did a great job on the field trip. They had a fun time being together. I liked going on this trip at the end of the year because it is one of our last big chances to spend quality time together! I will miss them!! Thanks to the parents who chaperoned and helped make the day run smoothly!! And thanks to PTL for sponsoring our bus! AR is due Friday by 3pm!!! Double check to see if your child has all of their points. INFO ABOUT THE LAST WEEK
