Today was a wonderful week at school. We had a wonderful chapel led by The Thanksgiving Food Drive Committee. In art, we worked on our Christmas painting. We also had 3 tests this week, and BOY are we tired. Mrs. Riemenschneider had a 50th surprise birthday party in her classroom, and the end result looked fantastic. We had a great week, but we will enjoy our Thanksgiving Break immensely. Have a great Thanksgiving! ~Celia and Harrison
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving break! I will be staying in St. Louis, hanging with family, and eating all the FOOD! I am so thankful for my fifth year of teaching at Zion and especially thankful to have your kids as my students. I am also thankful to have wonderful parents to work with and ensure growth for the kids! A big thank you goes to you. Make sure you tell your child that I am thankful for them as well. :) We have had a great year so far and I look forward to the rest of the year too! Registration for 1st - 8th Grades New this year, enrollment for grades 1 through 8 will be automatic this year. This means that you do not need to do anything in Sycamore to re-enroll your child for next school year. We ask that if you do not intend to return to Zion for the 2022-2023 school year, please notify the office by February 1, 2022. Hello sixth grade,
Today is the 12th of November 2021. There are 13 days until Thanksgiving!! This month of November is a great month for hot lunch, this week alone we had waffles and another great food. Other news from this week today is Cooper Lane’s birthday. Even more news yesterday was Veterans Day and the chapel was great. And our final news the Thanksgiving food drive is next week!! ~Harrison and Celia You heard it from our sixth grade, lots of news and a lot of great things happening - especially the delicious lunches! :) Virtual Learning: THANK YOU!! for all of your help at home and running up to get materials. Sycamore will not be updated this weekend. Please keep asking questions. Remember our Open House zooms with both teachers are at 3:00 on school days (students receive a new link each day in their email) and I am happy to set up individual chats to answer questions at other times. Looking forward to having you back with us soon! (SCROLL DOWN TO LAST WEEK FOR HELPFUL TIPS) No 5/6 Advent Service: Below is the information from the office about our service. Although it is very disappointing to not have this opportunity to lead worship, we will find other ways to celebrate the advent season as a class. Note, student musicians who auditioned or plan to audition after quarantine may still play their piece for morning chapel on Dec. 1. Keep practicing!! Memory assignments for next week will be canceled. (This week - still finish please!!) A note from administration: 5th and 6th Grade Parents, Grades 5 and 6 were scheduled for leading our Advent service on December 1st. At this time we have decided not to host those services. Reasons behind this decision are the following:
